It is closer to a 6.5. It's a solid, unvarnished, historical action adventure movie. Naturally, Dhanush delivers a fantastic performance as always, making it one of the movie's highlights. The cinematography is rather good. BGM is pleasant. It's good to act. The locations are pleasant. On a technical level, the movie is solid. Unexpectedly, the white actors do a fantastic job, and the portrayal of the British is suitably wicked. Every performance is strong. However, the plot itself creates a disconnection in emotions. The movie is well-made overall. My issue with the portrayal of casteism in post-colonial India is that it perpetuates the idea that Indian "upper-caste" kings enslaved tribal people and "lower-caste" people, preventing them from entering the
